Seminar by Swedish Association for Building Preservation in Kalmar, Sweden

The Swedish Association for Building Preservation arrange seminars in four different places in Sweden during the autumn on the theme reduction of energy consumption and building preservation. The Co2ol Bricks project is represented in the seminar program, first in Stockholm in October by the Swedish partner Stockholm City Museum and on the 30th of November in Kalmar.

In Kalmar the seminar is arranged in collaboration between The Swedish Association for Building Preservation, Kalmar County Museum, Kalmar municipality and Co2ol Bricks by the Swedish partner Energy Agency Southeast Sweden.

The seminar content: How can we as house owners combine energy improvement with heritage preservation. How to combine the sound materials of building preservation and proven designs with modern requirements for high energy efficiency? The theme day "Hunt of the kilowatt" aim to give to give practical advice and a better understanding of how old buildings can meet today's demands for energy initiatives while preserving its qualities. The target group is primarily individual home owners, but also companies and organizations are also welcome.

A relatively large amount of visitors is expected (around 100 visitors) and among them probably also people working with preservation of buildings. The Co2ol Bricks perspective in the seminar is to show that the individual can contribute to reach the climate goals of the future and that energy efficiency combined with preservation of buildings is also discussed in large international projects in Europe.
